Children's Card

My last couple of posts have been about me struggling with about every different technique and surprise, surprise, this one is no different.

My children are grown up, so making a card for a child is something quite new for me.

This is my first foray into making a children's card and i'm quite pleased with the way it turned out.

Card Swap

I'm still involved in a Card Swap that runs for 12 months.  I'm a long way behind, but slowly I'm catching up.  This is my 'Monochrome' card

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, I have to admit that I was stuck for ideas.  I also have to tell the truth and admit that I accidentally stuck my decorative paper on the wrong way.  That kinda pushed the card into another direction LOL!

I think I saved it and my Mum liked it.  I didn't let on to her that I messed it up.

On a roll....well sort of!

We are off to a la-de-da Engagement Party tonight for my second cousin.  I'm a little apprehensive to be honest.  I think I'll be right out of my depth as I think there will be some real high flighers attending.

Anyways, I've made a quick card and in the background you can see that I've wrapped their gift in matching colours.  I cut out an intricate heart pattern on AC Glitter Cardstock and used it as a decoration on the plain paper. Looks nice!

Finally!

Hi Bloggers,

I've been out of action due to me being a BAS Agent in Austrlaia, and it's our quarterly tax time.  This means I have lots of book work to complete for my clients.

Anyways, that's over now and I've had a little bit of time to myself.  Not much, but a little!

My cards are quite plain, as I'm now getting ready for our Picture to Page Papercraft Show at Burwood on the weekend of 26th and 27th May, 2012.

This card was for my BIL's birthday.  I really don't enjoy making masculine cards.  I struggle from start to finish LOL!

Mum's 80th Birthday

It's my Mum's 80th birthday today.  We are having 'High Tea' this afternoon with family and friends, then out for dinner tonight.

I used my Cougar and Foil-Master to make this card.

Off to a Wedding!

Hi all,

We are off to a Wedding today!  It's so long since we have attended anyone's Wedding.

I made this to give to the Bride on her way back down the aisle.

I used my BlackCat Cougar for all of the die-cuts and my BlackCat Foil-Master for the text.

Snowman Gift Boxes

I decided at about 9.00pm on Christmas Eve to give everyone at our Christmas Lunch a little Snowman Gift Box.

I purchased the file from Wanda at Luv2craft4udesigns.  Click here for her website.

She has some lovely files.

Anyways, I used my freehand method and I have to say, all of them turned out
really well.

Wanna drive someone nuts at Christmas?????

We are giving our son and his girlfriend a Rally Driving voucher for Christmas.  Just to drive them nuts, I printed out the vouchers, laminated them and then got my Cougar to cut them into a Puzzle.

This'll keep them quiet.  I'm not giving them the actual Vouchers until the put the puzzle together.

Gosh I'm mean LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Kiss Me, it's Christmas

I'm running out of time!!!!!

It's 5.42pm on Saturday 17.12.11.  No Christmas shopping done, no housework done, no gardening done, but all's good in the world because I managed to get two, yes two, Christmas cards done.

Love!

After spending a month in Thailand, I'm hopelessly behind in my card swap group.  The first theme was 'Love' and quite frankly, I'm not feeling it.  I messed around for ages and thankfully the Foil-Master turned up.

I made my own paper using a combination of Craft Artist and Funtime.  Once printed with my black laser printer, I then used Gold Matchmaker foil to create the gold pattern, using my Foil-Master.  Once done, I then cut out the bag with my BlackCat Cougar.

The tag was created in Craft Artist, exported to Funtime and then cut out using the Cougar.  I foiled the words 'for you with love!'.

It's filled with chocolate goodies and it's in the mail, on it's way to my card swap partner.  I hope she 'Love's' it.

White Challenge

Boy, getting my Blog up to date is taking longer than I thought!

Recently I was involved in a Challenge where we were only allowed to use white cardstock, glue and one other medium.

I chose embossing powder.  This is what I came up with.

we wish you a merry christmas

I needed to make a file that I could share with others that have electronic die-cutting machines.  This is my first Christmas card for 2011.

It is a simple file and is ideal for those just starting out.

If you have a die-cutting machine, and you'd like the file, please let me know and I'll send it through to you.  I will need to know which die-cutting machine you have also.  Please email me at:  info@de-signsmadebyme.com.au.

Sweet Wishes

Hi everyone,

It's our first Saturday back from OS.  We've walked into grass up to our ear holes, not one, but two toilets that are on the blink and my DS advising me that we had a bird in the house for three (3) days.  Uhhhhhh!!!!

Anyways, I had a couple of special occasions straight up.  This is for my cousin's birthday.

Introducing the BlackCat Foil Master

Hi again,

I've just received my BlackCat Foil Master and all I can say is Wow, Wow, Wow.  I'm so excited about the projects I can make using this great gadget.  There are over 20 different colours of foil available and it's so easy to use.

I've done a couple of projects using the Foil Master, and will upload them shortly.  At long last, you can add Gold, Silver, Copper as well as a heap of different foils directly onto your card projects.

I'm back!!!

Hello everyone,

I'm back from holidays and keen to jump back in to the card making pool.  Just in time for Christmas too.

I have made a couple of bits and pieces, which I have added to this post.
